Coordination of Projects Funded by KKS

Karl Kübel Foundation for Child and Family (KKF), India, monitors and coordinates development projects – across the length and breadth of the country supported and funded by Karl Kübel Stiftung für Kind and Familie (KKS), Germany. The projects coordination office is head quartered at Karl Kübel Institute for Development Education (KKID), Coimbatore.

We work together in empowering people to take responsibility for their lives and participate in the decision-making processes about their social, political and economical future actively.

KKS aims to satisfy their basic needs, to preserve common forms of living within the family and community and to protect their natural environment. In our projects, we are supporting the following activities, aiming at a comprehensive, holistic and sustainable development process in rural areas:

    • Awareness generation and organisation of the target Groups
    • Non-formal education
    • Preventive and curative activities in the field of health Promotion
    • Agriculture and preservation of natural resources
    • Income-Generation
    • Construction of low-cost houses/latrines
 Preventive character

The programmes in general do have preventive character. Regarding the regional concentration, KKS do have a clear focus for the most deserving areas in the central and north-eastern parts of India.

Exclusive and experienced Indian staff manage the co-ordination of KKS projects. The main coordination office is in Coimbatore, working closely with the coordination team. In consultation with KKS, the team assists the project partners in an advisory capacity, on a regular basis on project planning, reporting and accounting matters. Furthermore, the co-ordination staff are responsible for establishing the initial contacts with new project applicants and for selecting and recommending new partner organisations.
